Children's Summer Reading Program 2009

Reading and Prizes

Beginning Monday, June 8, kids can register for the reading portion of the program.  They will receive a reading log and stickers.  Each sticker represents 5 minutes of reading.  For each completed log a child will receive a prize and will be entered into a drawing for more prizes.  The limit is 3 logs per child.

Library Activities

Storytime

Wednesday Mornings at 10 am. Story, Craft and Snack for toddlers and pre-school age children. On July 15, the library will be hosting the musical group Babaloo during story hour.  Toddlers and pre-schoolers are welcom to come and join other children of all ages enjoying this program.

Activities for 5-11 year olds

June 10, 2:00 p.m. — Summer Reading Kick-Off and Instrument Petting Zoo.
June 24, 2:00 p.m. — Learn som all time favorite dances (No dancing shoes required).
July 1, 2:00 p.m. — Kamishibai for Kids (What is it?  Come and find out!)
July 22, 2:00 p.m. — Have you got the spirit?  Tie-Dye with school colors.
July 29, 2:00 p.m. — Name that artist game.

Family Activities

June 16, 1:00 p.m. — Patchwork Puppets.
June 25, 5:00 p.m. — Showing of the Disney Cartoon Robin Hood (refreshments provided).
July 7, 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. — Dan Wardell from the IPTV Kids' Clubhouse.
July 9, 5:00 p.m. — WTAI (Where the Art Is) Game.
July 15, 10:00 a.m. — Babaloo Music and Fun.
